My Coaching Philosophy

Hi! I’m Rebecca Svrjcek, a Certified Mental Load Life Coach specializing in life transitions, relationships, and stress management. I believe that everyone holds the power within themselves to live with balance, clarity, and fulfillment.

Years ago, I found myself deep in a “quarter-life crisis.” I know firsthand what it feels like to hit rock bottom—confused, overwhelmed, isolated, and uncertain about what comes next.

My mission is to empower you with tools you already have: to gain self-awareness, rebuild confidence, and create a life that feels more balanced and satisfying. Life will always throw curveballs—but remember, what you aren’t changing, you’re choosing. Coaching transforms “someday” into right now.

Based in Baltimore, MD. Working with Clients Nationwide.

My Beliefs & Values as a Life Coach

I believe that personal growth is a lifelong process—and that it doesn’t have to happen alone. At different stages in life, we all encounter seasons where we feel stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from who we are and what we truly want. These roadblocks aren’t signs of failure—they’re invitations to pause, reflect, and realign.

As your coach, I will walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and clarity, helping you explore the habits, patterns, and beliefs that may be holding you back. I deeply value creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can openly express yourself, reconnect with your values, and begin to trust your own voice again.

We’ll work together to:

→Clarify what you truly want—not what others expect

→Prioritize your needs without guilt

→Strengthen your confidence in making aligned decisions

→Create realistic, empowering strategies you can act on right away to achieve your goals

I believe that coaching is not about fixing you—it’s about revealing the strength and wisdom you already have. My goal is that you leave each session feeling empowered, validated, and one step closer to a life that feels true to you.

My Experience & Expertise

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children, adults, and families, helping them navigate life’s most challenging emotional moments.

My background in psychotherapy has equipped me with deep experience in supporting clients through symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational difficulties. I’ve worked in a range of settings—from outpatient community agencies to school-based care—offering support that’s both clinical and compassionate.

While I deeply value the role of mental health professionals and continue to honor the impact of therapy, I also recognize the unique and powerful space that life coaching provides. Coaching is future-focused, action-oriented, and designed to help you move forward with clarity, purpose, and intention.

What sets my coaching practice apart is this integration of clinical insight and coaching strategy. I bring a trauma-informed lens, deep empathy, and years of experience helping people feel safe enough to grow—combined with a coaching framework that’s focused on empowerment, progress, and transformation.

Whether you’re navigating a career shift, reevaluating a relationship, or simply feeling stuck in your own head, I’m here to help you build momentum—and trust yourself along the way.

Coaching vs Therapy-what’s the difference?

Understanding the difference between therapy and life coaching can help you choose the support that best fits your needs right now. While both offer powerful opportunities for growth, they serve different purposes and are rooted in different approaches.

Therapy:

Therapy, or individual psychotherapy, is designed to support individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficulty regulating emotions. It often involves exploring your past experiences, identifying patterns or root causes, and working toward healing so you can manage daily life more effectively.

Therapy may be the best fit if:

  • You are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or emotional distress that impacts your daily life and relationships

  • You want to explore how your past experiences are shaping your present

  • You’re seeking to process painful experiences or work through long-standing patterns

Life Coaching:

Life coaching is focused on the present and future. It’s for individuals who may experience sadness, stress, or fear at times—but are generally functioning well and want support in creating a more fulfilling, aligned, and empowered life. Coaching offers a structured, action-oriented path forward.

Life coaching may be the best fit if:

  • You want to clarify your goals and build a roadmap to achieve them

  • You feel stuck or unmotivated and need accountability and momentum

  • You’re seeking more confidence, clarity, purpose, or balance in a particular area of life

Still Unsure of What You Need?

You don’t have to figure it out alone. If you’re unsure whether therapy or coaching is the right step, I’d be happy to discuss your needs in a free discovery call and help you determine the most supportive option for where you are right now.

Your well-being matters most—whether that support comes through coaching, therapy, or a blend of both over time.
